Israel Expo 2020 thanks its partners for their support
Pineda Covalin as a brand, represents the transmutation of ancient cultural expressions resurfacing to the modern life of Latin America. A fusion that demonstrates, that within globalization there are also opportunities to discover the great richness that identifies the "global villages" and the characteristics that each region and village offers to the whole world. Pineda Covalin reveals the spirit of the nations through a palette of vibrant colors that evoke the culture of the regions presenting in each collection the union of art and fashion.
As part of its cultural calendar, and in light of the Israeli pavilion’s message on diversity and inclusion, the pavilion is proud to host two performances by the iconic Riff Cohen on Tuesday, 23rd November and Wednesday, 24th November at 8:30pm, on the dunes of the pavilion. Riff Cohen creates an original sound which became a new genre in contemporary music. She brings a powerful energy that mixes West African and French influences. The North African rhythms create a joyful and deep foundation, while the tune reminds the listener of ancient Arabic chants mixed into a modern world.

As the tradition dictates, Sufganiyah (Doughnut) will be distributed to our guests.

Liron Lavi Turkenich is the founder of Aravrit, a new hybrid writing system that merges Arabic and Hebrew. She is the designer behind the 15 meter long sign at the top of Israel’s dune at Expo and is involved with writing on productivity, activeness, and running multiple projects on Visual Productivity.
Aravrit is an experimental writing system presenting a set of hybrid letters merging Hebrew and Arabic. Each letter is composed of Arabic on the upper half and Hebrew on the bottom half. In Aravrit, one can read any chosen language, without ignoring the other one, which is always present.

The 17th of January, 2022 saw the celebration of Tu Bishvat or Jewish Earth day, a Jewish holiday, at the Israel pavilion in EXPO2020 Dubai. Celebrations included tribute images from Israel, nature and dried fruit on the LED gates of the pavilion and the distribution of traditional dried fruits and seed pens to pavilion visitors.
Tu Bishvat is one of the four new year celebrations in the Jewish calendar, dedicated specifically to trees and nature. Traditionally, Tu Bishvat, which translates as the 15th of the Hebrew month Shevat (the 5th month in the Jewish calendar), was an important date for the people of Israel.
In modern times, Jews consider the festival to be an attachment to the land of Israel, and a symbol of renewed growth of the Jewish people returning to their ancestral homeland. On Tu Bishvat, Jews will eat fruits associated with the Holy Land, especially the seven species the land of Israel was blessed with such as; pomegranates, dates, figs, grapes and olives.
For the occasion the Israel pavilion is having an exhibition entitled “World Leaders Honor KKL-JNF '' from the 9th of January 2022 until the 18th of January 2022. The exhibition showcases photographs of world leaders in their respective fields, planting trees. Among said leaders are Frank Sinatra, Kirk Douglas, Sharon Stone and Albert Einstein.

1- The ceremony will be held on 27.1.2 in the afternoon-evening in the dune area of the Israeli pavilion
2- Invitees to the Ceremony: Diplomatic Representatives, Representatives from the Emirates, The Jewish Community, Press
3- Starting in the afternoon, the routine activities of the pavilion will be replaced by activities adapted to Memorial Day.
4- Additional pavilions will be invited to mark this day using elements produced by the Israeli pavilion
ANNA RF is a electro-ethnic band who creates music that combines the beauty of different cultures and brings people together in a joyful celebration of unity. The group's sound is a mix between east & west. The band's vision stands for blending ancient and modern instruments with a live-electronic touch. The shows are known as parties people are coming to dance and feel free. The band exists since 2012. In these years they performed in big crowded festivals in countries such as Germany, India, Turkey, Switzerland, Scotland, Poland, Portugal, Russia and more. Eitan Vitkon is an israeli artist specializing in long exposure, multi-frame, and motion photography.
As a graduated architect and autodidact photographer,his work focuses on capturing abstract urban landscapes as well as the passage of time and motion in a still frame.
This collection of work presents iconic places in Israel with Vitkon's unique prespective - Jerusalem in motion, Tel Aviv in motioon, and the Dead Sea "SOS Mother Earth". The latter is a collaborative work with the Israeli "Red Rebel Brigade" , an activist group dedicated to drawing attention to the global enviromental crisis and the extinction pf species around the globe.
The Israel Pavilion will kick start its cultural performances agenda with the Malabi Tropical who play tropical Caribbean music infused with middle eastern gypsy melodies. Their music represents the fusion & evolution of multicultural societies and will definitely make you want to groove!

The Israel Pavilion at Expo2020 Dubai will be holding different events during the food, agriculture and livelihoods week that will start on the 17th of February and run until the 23rd of February, 2022.
The first event will be held on the 20th until the 22nd of February by The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Agricultural Research Organisation, the Volcani Institute and Start-Up Nation Central, entitled “Innovative Agriculture & Food for All”.

Fiqrat Alnoor is an Israeli orchestra that plays classical Arabic and Oriental music. The orchestra was formed in 2013 and has about 20 musicians, Jews, Arabs, Druze and Muslims.

In an Israeli-Emirati cooperation, the first regional forum of its kind to fight diabetes and obesity will be launched this week
Next Monday, March 7th 2022 will see the launch of the first of its kind regional forum against Diabetes and Obesity, at the Israeli pavilion at EXPO2020
The forum - which was held at the initiative of the Ministry of Regional Cooperation together with the Ministry of Health of Israel and the United Arab Emirates - will begin its activities in a conference attended by experts from Israel and the Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and other countries.
Accompanied by H.E Issawi Frej, Minister of Regional Cooperation, are H.E Nitzan Hrovitz, Minister of Health, Professor Itamar Raz, President of the Israeli Diabetes Council, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al Madani, President of the Diabetes Council of the United Arab Emirates; Other US ministers and senior officials.
This initiative comes against the backdrop of the alarming rise in the number of patients with diabetes and obesity in the Middle East region, and the growing need to formulate a regional response and a new action plan.

The Department of Jewelry and Fashion Design combines a holistic approach to all creative activities relating to the body and its environment with in-depth instruction and research in techniques, materials and conceptual perspectives. The interdisciplinary curriculum offers specialized tracks in jewelry, accessories and fashion. While stressing the necessity of maintaining harmony among them, it encourages the exploration of the boundaries between the specialties and the establishment of new channels of thought. Fruitful dialogues and a collective conversation among these different fields of study provide fertile ground for imaginative and innovative design while maintaining the creative space of each.
The program provides a comprehensive learning experience that trains the next generation of designers to create original work inspired by the world around them. It guides them to draw upon local artisanship and time-honored crafts such as Judaica and embroidery, while simultaneously exposing them to the latest global expressions and styles. With the digital production revolution in full swing, the Department aims to be at the forefront of new technologies – to chart the path that incorporates cutting-edge tools and methodologies into traditional practices and techniques to create a totally new and inspiring vision.
The Department’s historic continuum of setting the standard and leading the way has garnered its students, graduates and faculty some of the most prestigious awards in Israel and around the world, in the fields of jewelry, shoes and clothing.

The Israel pavilion at EXPO 2020 will be hosting a physical celebration of Purim, for the first time in the GCC. Purim, which literally means “lots” and is sometimes known as the “feast of lots” is a Jewish holiday in which Jews commemorate being saved from persecution in the ancient Persian Empire.
The Israel pavilion will be hosting several activities in line with the celebration of Purim for EXPO visitors like; face painting, live music and photo booths. Additionally, the Indian pavilion will be joining the celebration, opening the ceremony by throwing rose petals in the morning as a celebration for both Purim and the festival of colours (Holi) that will fall on the same day as Purim.
Join the Israel pavilion on the 17th of March 2022 starting at 10am for a full day of celebration, music and fun.
